MELURA

With this handle, I set out to create a small, minimalist design with tactile qualities and lasting durability. The metal front lends a clean, refined look while ensuring a strong and enduring functional attachment. In contrast, the turned solid wood component adds warmth and a natural, inviting touch—offering a rich tactile experience every time it’s used.

There’s endless potential for material combinations. Future versions could explore the use of cork, recycled plastic, or other materials, paired with a wide variety of metals and surface finishes—opening up exciting opportunities to tailor the expression to different moods, functions, and contexts.
