AGF Football Club, based in Aarhus, Denmark, is one of the top five clubs in the country’s premier league. Being part of the interior design for their new High Performance Center was an exciting and truly meaningful experience.

This unique facility serves as both a state-of-the-art training hub and a home for 20–30 young athletes between the ages of 15 and 19. My goal was to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere—a space where the players could not only train at the highest level but also recharge, feel grounded, and find moments of calm in their demanding everyday lives.

The blue tones from the AGF logo and uniforms became a natural starting point, guiding the color palette throughout the space. These cooler hues were complemented by warm, earthy materials such as smoked oak and cork—bringing a sense of calm and tactility to the recreational zones. In contrast, the training facilities are characterized by light and energetic materials, like pale pine beams and thoughtful lighting, which support focus and movement.

The interplay between natural materials, lush green plants, and raw concrete creates a balanced yet rugged aesthetic—perfectly reflecting the high-intensity world these elite athletes are part of. The result is an environment that supports both peak performance and everyday well-being.
